Six Feet Under season 5 is among one of the best seasons of television ever made. I had high expectations going into this season due to the amount of praise I have seen for it on this app, and I’m happy to say that this passed those expectations. The final stretch is absolutely excellent and wraps up all the characters perfectly. The character work is some of the best I have seen with everyone giving incredible performances. There is one episode in particular later on that just shows how talented all the cast are, and it makes for one the most emotional experiences I’ve had watching television. The first half of this season is about as good as season 3 in terms of quality, but the second half especially the last four episodes is one of the best stretches in television. All four of them are at least in my top 40ish oat. Ruth surprised me especially this season with her becoming one of my favourites in the whole show from only the first few episodes. She has had to deal with so much loss and pain for so long that it is making her become even more depressed than she already was. I take for granted her scenes with people like Nikolai and Arthur because they really do flesh her out and show how good of a person she is, and it truly fills me with joy to see her happy with people like Sarah and Bettina. Nathaniel's death had an effect on her throughout the whole series and she couldn’t believe that the person she connected to the most was taken away. It’s really hard to discuss what I like about this season without going into spoilers and to be honest, I’d rather people just experience this masterpiece instead of reading it somewhere. Overall: Solid 9/10 (Top 4 season oat) Episodes Ranked: 1) Everyone's Waiting 🥇(Top 2 ep oat) 2) Ecotone🥈(Top 24 ep oat) 3) All Alone🥉(Top 28 ep oat) 4) Static 5) A Coat of White Primer Characters Ranked: 1) Nate Fisher🥇 2) Ruth Fisher🥈 3) Claire Fisher🥉🔃 4) David Fisher🔃 5) George Sibley
