Mariko-sama and Fuji-sama, you both are my queens and forever will be. I LOVED all the intimate scene between them. That quiet understanding between Fuji-sama and Mariko-sama. Interesting to see if Fuji-sama knows about that pillowing in toto, if you know what I mean. That conversation at the onsen at night between the white devil and Mariko-sama. Beautiful. And yes another dig at the Brits lack of hygene, I live! Fuji-sama, so so good in this episode! When she pulled that stunt with the gun, I was YES QUEEN! There is an anwavering fierceness within her, we saw it in the first episode as well, and I am here for it. That swords scene, so touching. I love the juxtaposition of how men act mostly irrationally driven by rage and pride, while the women are quiet and strategic, and knowing (we have seen this with Mariko in previous episodes as well), but also assertive. Easily manipulated, Oni and Nagakado in this episode, silly little boys, Fuji former husband for example, and women, with their full autonomy, despite living in an extrimely patriarcal society. LOVE IT! That ending was also great to be honest. Brutal. Possibly my favourite episode so far.
