Star Wars Resistance was the new animated series that aired on Disney Channel in 2018. The series takes place right before The Force Awakens as it ties into it, which is honestly the best part of the series. While the series is not as great as Clone Wars and Rebels, it is still interesting.
The voice cast includes Christopher Sean as Kaz, Scott Lawrence as Yeager, Josh Brewer as Neeku, and Susie McGrath as Tam who were all interesting new characters. It was fun to watch them in the Satr Wars galaxy. For this season we see Oscar Isaac returning to voice Poe Dameron and Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma from the Sequel Trilogy. We also see BB-8 appear for most of the season which is always great to see more of BB-8.
This season is about Kaz being recruited by Poe Dameron to be a rebel spy on the Colossus as he is trying to find out who's working for the First Order as he's making friends with everyone. What I liked is how it heavily ties into the Sequel Trilogy with it being set before The Force Awakens as it leads into it. What I also liked is the animation as it is different from what Clone Wars and Rebels was, making it unique.
However, this season has flaws as the character of Kaz can get too goofy at times. I know this is aimed for kids, but wow characters can get ridiculously goofy at times which is repetitive. I feel like they could have done more too and expanded the Star Wars lore.
Overall this was something interesting as it was new and had lots of potential. But I felt it could have been better.
