So I watched GX a little while ago, and GX was about the time I exited the anime. For numerous reasons, I just got a little disillusioned with how Yu-Gi-Oh was changing. Synchro summons? Duels on bikes? Eh. Give me a Flame Wingman and Skyscraper combo! Also, GX S4 was cut short, rushed and not even released for UK audiences because of this season.
Alas! I rather enjoyed this season. Yusei is awesome, and the fact he goes out of his way to help Akiza (gurl you need to reign in your feelings lmfao) and protect those he cares about, is just awesome. Still, I wouldn't say I like the turbo duels, and I have mixed feelings on synchros that aren't really to do with the anime, but how OP they've become IRL/Master Duel.
Overall, "S1" was a blast (god Konami need to stop this nonsense with how they make seasons. In the UK/US, S1 is everything until the end of the Immortals arc, in Japan, S2 starts when the immortals arc starts... which makes no sense and confuses me when I look at the episode listings.)
Also, I watch Yu-Gi-Oh dubbed, simply because I wouldn't have Jack Atlas and his "Tony Curtis in 'Some Like It Hot' accent" which is just absolutely glorious. And Akiza shouting "Black Rose Dragon" slaps and I can't explain it.
