Top five show fr. I don't I'll ever be able to properly express how great of an experience this show was with without sounding like an idiot but ill try my best. This show was crazy good and If I hadn't seen Twin Peaks would be my favourite season 3 oat. the characters and story direction phenomenal and Kevin Garvey is easily top five protags for me. the soundtrack and that one song in particular was amazing expect for a couple times when Skrillex or something similar would play but that was more funny that detrimental to the show. The show really isn't that long and if you have enough free time, you could probably watch it in a week, but I honestly wish I took more with the show to really digest the themes and concepts that the show presents. The show comes out to a lot more that what I expected going into it, just being a short show that I could tick of my list of shows that I wanted to watch, but became so much more than that, as an emotional journey that delved into some incredible deep topics but always kept itself grounded. This especially true for the side of the story that follows matt and the church and how the show touches of the perspective of different religions and how different people see that event of the departure without ever having to truly explain what actually happened. The main concept of the departure or how it is often compared to in the show, the rapture, was interesting from the start I and I haven't any other show present main conflict of the main on such a large scale and that to me is impressive on another level, especially how it takes the idea and turns into so much more. Another highlight of the show for me was the use of single character episodes or ones that would revolve around one character or a small group and would show their side of the story or how they perceived an event. This drove the majority of the second season but led to some moments that weren't amazing like the episode 'ten thirteen', which centred around meg as she made her way to Jarden, but also allowed for the absolute best episodes in the show. Over all this show is a work of art, and I couldn't recommend it enough but really takes being in the right headspace to watch this show, with its prominent portrayal of suicide and loss. 9.9999999/10 Ranks: Seasons - 1.
