There's an intense feeling of unease that simultaneously makes you feel like your floating and like your buried in the ground that permeates the whole thing and makes for one of the most engaging and immersive season finales oat, and the incredible sound design just adds to the overwhelming intensity. Constantly cutting between the plotlines as each one sprints to its crescendo as quickly as possible before cutting everything right at the climax is just plain malevolent.
