"Blood tastes thick..."

This shit sucked. Some enjoyable moments in the first half, I enjoyed seeing Mulder 're open' the X Files, but why was this placed DURING the Scully 'missing' arc. Yes, Gillian Anderson was pregnant and they had to fill time until she came back, but why couldn't they do a flashback to an early X File that shared similarities to the abduction arc, one where there is only Mulder at the forefront but tying Scully in as an essential plot beat. What did they come up with instead? Whatever the fuck this was. Seriously, I'm bewildered at how poor this was.
