Actually like, really good? Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes never missed a beat, amazing performance already. Rest of the cast was solid and bounced off Rick well in explaining all the situations, what's happening, and also long term questions about the CRM. The opening 10 minutes was absolutely incredible, i really enjoyed how they immediately did the thing instead of building up to it. The cinematography and score looked and sounded really great. The action was insane. Some amazing set designs, lighting, costumes, choreography, and also, which surprised me in a good way, this felt a lot more gritty and dark than the last TWD seasons. Had a few issues with the extremely fast pacing, felt the dynamics could've benefited a little more with maybe this split into two episodes, but it wasn't too bad. Rick narration was little iffy, i usually just don't enjoy narrations that much, but it's also not a bad idea to explain his motives, and ideology considering how many years it has been since we last saw him. I guess it was executed decently. And one final thing is that i still just don't see the chemistry between Andy Lincoln and Danai Gurira as a love couple, maybe it's just me. Great start. Feels like there's genuine passion put into this project which is amazing to see.
