I wanted to like this show SO BAD. It started off confusing (and a bit meh tbh) but seemed promising. And then Pino was cute and that made it better. And then the show just kept getting worse with every episode. I mentioned in I think my episode 22 review that this show reminded me of Inception. The premise seems cool, but then all of the time and dialogue is spent on exposition dumps and stupid, pointless (and surprisingly numerous) dream sequences at the expense of ANY character development or meaningful story. So many of the episode reviews are 4+ stars with comments like "I could barely understand what was happening but I loved it". LOVED WHAT?? If nothing made sense it's not because it's so amazing you can't begin to comprehend. It's because NOTHING MADE SENSE. It's not smart, it's just bad writing. The fact that no one is seeing that is insane to me. So I guess this is what it comes down to. Do you like Inception? If you do, you're gonna like this. And if you don't (for the reasons I mentioned previously) then I doubt you'll enjoy this. You might even hate it like I did.
