This actually ruins everything about Sayid and his whole overarching plot line about being a good man despite his troubled past. The moment him himself said "I'm a good man" I just knew his character was in the fucking gutter. What I love about Sayid is that he wouldn't admit that himself, he keeps trying to wash his hands off that past. Trying to move past it but however it still haunts him. In my own opinion he was one of the most layered and nuanced characters in the show with his whole character arc. I'm sorry is this a fucking Saturday Monday Cartoon. Is this another different show? It feels like a fucking cartoon storyline like oh! He's evil now! Beware our good writing. No this shit doesn't work, it's so fucking bad you might as well just Jamie'd the guy. I'm sure they have a GRANDDDD plan for his character and that it will turn out to be decent but my god just so bad man. Like seriously were they throwing darts at a wall. Were monkeys writing this? Did they just phone this one? His whole leader role, internal struggle, all gone to dirt. Yeah, yeah, I know it's because of the pool or something and that he will probably return to normal, but I'm pissed. This is not character assassination. This is a character massacre
