Jimmy McGill the typa fool to be asked do something silently and just do it really quietly 😭🙏

This season is going really strong so far, it was very cool to see an episode with more of a focus on Nacho and Mike after a season that definitely sidelined them to an extent. Mike's scenes were great to me because they pieces together what Winner meant to him and helped me make connections I didn't before. The first shot of him here is him waking up, and I believe this is the first time we get any sign of him sleeping, which shows us that things are different than usual and communicates that he may be acting unnaturally, likely still shaken up from Werner's death. Moving on with that information in mind, when his granddaughter asks a lot of questions about his dead son who was also 'not in the game' and died as part of a cover up, it really began to draw the parallels and started to crack the code for Mike's character to me. 

Nacho's plotline almost acts self contained in a sense, because of how he is tasked with earning Lalo's trust and then earns it in the same episode but it really didn't feel rushed. Nacho's opener for the episode is him being taken from his house and seeing his father threatened. The way the chain of events move between each other was really natural and really enjoyable, they first establish that we're at his home, then he's taken, then my favourite part is when Viktor walks into the building with Nacho's dad and it feels like an intense "holy shit he's gonna die" moment, but then we shift from that when Gus enters the car. This does many amazing things, such as showing the power Gus has, he changes the whole tone just by stepping into a car, and it also is just a really natural segue from an action moment to a high stakes conversation. The high octane games being played with Nacho don't stop there though, as his next scene is probably one of the strangest combinations of tension, during Nacho's parkour and meth extraction, and comedy, when Lalo commentates over it. This felt like the first time Nacho has been a point of view character to the audience, because we too breathe a sigh of relief when it's over, and Nacho taking on that role in the story is an interesting change. 

Jimmy's 50% off hijinks were a lot of fun to watch, I'm a big fan of the intro of the two guys riding around committing crimes, as well as the one take shot of Jimmy hustling in the courthouse, which felt like an uncommon but welcome type of cinematography for the show. Now, maybe I'm looking too much into it but I think his scene with the DA in the elevator was actually amazing. Obviously he set up the whole situation, but the vibe I also got was that he picked very carefully who to bring up first, which sounds really trivial, but Jimmy essentially uses one person to go Suzanne's way with to lure her into the conversation, essentially meaning he just doesn't do the best he can for that one client in the interest of getting what he wants quick. Like I said, maybe that's overanalyzing it but it would fit in well to his character.
