A romantic, dramatic, devastating and cathartic story about friendships, growth, and love. I don't think i'll be able to fully describe how much emma and dexter meant to me as a person and a hopeless romantic it’s been a decade or so since we last heard of this book and the film. which i really loved with all my heart don't care what anyone says. but for the past 2-3 years, one day consumed my life and i always carry it with me. i want to learn how emma values herself, how she carries herself through anything. and how dexter, even though falling to rock bottom so many times that we could count, he managed to live through. i really loved the addition and some changes with this show it might have had the best ending for one day — from the book to film it felt like okay emma died we're sad that's it but with this series they gave a perfect goodbye to such a beloved character, who in my mind is a real person, her death felt like a family's death to me and they nailed it. She did change the people around her life for the better. as for the whole series, what more could I ever ask for? getting to watch another adaptation from your favorite book of all time is such a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect anything but now I'm telling you how excellent it is. It was faithful to its book, which if you've noticed, not many book adaptations are good when they're in tv or movie but One Day proves us wrong. i hope Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod’s career isn't going to be wasted and will be recognized because not only did it showcase their chemistry but also how good they are with comedy, drama, and romance.
