Ghoulie is a pretty decent X-Files mystery. It even cleverly plays on the trope of a mysterious person saying random sagely advice. While not as full of Fox wisecracks, this otherwise bears all the hallmarks of a decent mystery. Good set-up, interesting enough side characters, and playing a riff on a real-world concept of sleep paralysis but adding a sci-fi twist on it. They even work in the overarching mystery into the plot about finding Scully's son! A nice blend of individual plot and large plot linked into character growth and existential questions. It's almost like these writers know how to write a show. Good job!
