With good behaviour who knows “
This is now one of my favourite shows easily. This episode was perfect from the name “Saul gone “ sounding like all gone we think this is gone be depressing but it’s not it’s the end of Saul but a new chapter for jimmy mgil excepting who he is and trying to change , Saul has consistently changed through the show from the people around him putting him down and tragic events, but here jimmy proves everyone wrong on his own he changes , instead of “slipping and falling “ he slips and lands on his feet excepting it all and not running away talking the 86 years. And it was all to prove Kim , chuck and the others wrong but mainly prove to him self he ain’t all bad and can be good and can change. I thought why was this shot in back and white other then symbolism to the state Saul found himself in it’s to show us the endings ;
Jesse drives out into bright light , ready to live his life with lessons he’s learned-the good ending
Walt - fades into black with somewhat bright light showing he aswell may have became evil but still had good in him but ultimately got the bad ending
And Saul the grey tone - the neutral ending, we don’t know what is to happen to jimmy , ye he’s doing good in prison but ultimately anything can happen , he can die in there or get freed , it’s up to us to decide.
But damn that bus scene put a smile on my face and the parallels and call backs to earlier perfectly done over the last few eps but here it’s perfect, mainly the jimmy and Kim smoking. Also the Time Machine question at the start makes us question jimmy more , it shows he’s aware of all the wrong and want to change but won’t and will choose money which reflects to when we see Walt and ultimately the end where he shows he care more about people and trying to change then money.
Better call Saul is a near perfect show 9.5/10 and this episode is the perfect finale 10/10
