Griselda (2024)
Sofia Vergara disappears into the role. I'm actually surprised at how immersed I was with everything—I watched this in just half a day, and even though it's a series I feel would've been best watched weekly, it's engaging from the first episode till the last. They managed to show how crazy Griselda Blanco was, even though definitely not heinous enough, I still loved how fucked everything was. The tension is intricately made, and I felt all the knives every character held. Sometimes the plot gets so thick and doozy that I'm surprised they managed not to make it feel rushed. I enjoyed the juxtaposition with Griselda and the detective, of how these women from opposite sides of the law deal with sexism. Yeah. The cinematography is nice, the music choices, the editing, but I'm happy to say that Sofia Vergara was impressive in this.
