characters wise, i loved abigail's development the most and also dena kaplan is just an excellent actress. i really didn't like the kat and christian pairing as it lacked chemistry and growth, and also they were obviously just using kat as a way for christian to make a parallel to how he feels with her and how he feels with tara. and yeah kat deserves better (a girlfriend), but whatever. i feel like they let saskia go too easily with literally breaking a student's back but okay then, of course, there's sammy who just had everything going right for him only for them to take it all away from him along with his life so fast "So we always wanted to kill someone… We were going to kill Ben. But then we really thought that Sammy was the heart of the show, and he was the one who was most closely connected to everybody, so I think we killed him for maximum impact." so this extract from an interview really made me mad as no you did not have to kill the most interesting and lovable character for shock value and yes you could've done a as good of a lesson on grief with killing off ben like?? man, this was just supposed to be a fun rewatch on one of my favorite childhood shows 😭
