👌🏻62% I’m just trying to wrap up all my seasonals now… This one was kinda disappointing. Coming off of My Dress-Up Darling I was super excited to get another romance anime, but Shikimori-san was kind’ve a mess. The episodes were just so uneven, some super boring, and some super entertaining… my favourite episodes were the first one, the river one and the 11th one… they were all great, wish all the episodes were like those. I also just didn’t really like the characters that much, they’re just kinda boring, and have sort of unrealistic dialogue. The animation was good, but the settings very bland. And I mean I’m sorry but the romance isn’t super strong either. Overall, while it’s not bad, this show did very little for me, which is disappointing since I had high hopes for it. It just couldn’t choose between being a slice-of-life or a romance, and while those two can work together, this one couldn’t execute one or the other very well let alone them together…
