i opted for watching the miniseries without reading the book. the book had a lot of criticism and i truly feel like the show gave you more to care for. this was the last show that actually made me sob, even at parts that weren’t really “sad.” you become emotionally invested in their journey as a couple but also on their personal paths. this was so heartbreaking and made me appreciate mini series in a whole new way.
