Well, that was an episode. A rather odd one where psychic siblings cause psychic visions of an evil dark half making you kill yourself. What a conceit.
Anyway, this maybe comes the closest so far this season to capturing the feeling of a classic X-File. We get Mulder and Scully banter, including a few funny Mulder quips and sexual tension. Then there is some deeper existential discussion between them about aging and moving on. You know, typical Mulder and Scully interactions. It's fun!!
Not the best monster of the week by far, but at least this one was entertaining and we get none of that dumb lore crap. Though if the goal is to search for their son, they've made zero effort now in two episodes. Not that I really want that, but since it's written in, it now feels like a contradiction. Oh well.
