I remember watching abit of this back when it came out and when I first watched the pilot, I'll admit, I remember not liking it. Then one night a few weeks ago, I watched the pilot for Grimsburg and bot really liking it at all, and then the pilot for Duncanville autoplayed afterwards. And would you know it, after a second watch, I actually liked it! I genuinely think this season was funny AF. I liked the vibe it had, I liked that the main character was a kid, making this pretty much a teen comedy and a really wild and funny one at that. But I also found the characters relatable to my own family and I liked that this family isn't toxic towards each other, there's nothing cynical about this show, it genuinely had heart. And for an adult animated comedy, it isn't trying so hard on letting you know it's adult. It's got this quirkiness to it I liked alot and it never tries to be super meta or have constant pop culture references and whenever it does, it feels natural. Overall, this is an underrated gem to me in the adult animation sitcom realm.
