i do think this is some really good television. after watching so many terrible disney+ marvel show finales, i was beginning to wonder if it was even possible to complete a show and give a good finale after 6 episodes. chernobyl did it in 5 episodes! if you asked me what this was about, i wouldn’t tell you it was about a nuclear accident that happened in ukraine on april 26, 1986. i would tell you it’s simple snapshots of everyday life made into haunting images by the incredible score and surrounding dialogue. i would tell you it’s disgusting, and definitely not anything you should watch while eating. i would tell you it’s guys in suits talking about seriously dangerous, end-of-humanity and end-of-life-on-earth stuff. i would tell you it’s perfect.
