I rewatched the new season’s first episode since I didn’t get to see the first few minutes (aka the queens’ entrances) at the cinemas. I was surprised to know that the theater cut is slightly different from the streaming cut! The version that was screened in Trinoma at the premiere night didn’t include Maria Lava’s elimination. I think that’s for the better, because the crowd inside the theater was too happy to deal with the fact that a queen goes home. Plus it shows respect to Maria Lava and prevents spoilers from leaking. As Manila says: “new den, new rules.” I sort of want this show to go back to its original den because, although I like the immunity the Dragdagulan winner gains, I’m not fond of the elimination. I don’t want to see any queen go home each episode. I also want to see all of the queens longer so I can see everything they’ve brought to the competition.
