I got to see the episode at its premiere night. The format is a complete switch-up! It’s nice that this new season airs during the sixteenth season of Drag Race. There are a lot of similarities.
Right from the start, there’s already drama! These queens aren’t mincing words. If they don’t like you, they tell it straight to your face!
This show boasts its huge budget not through words but through set design and editing. The effects are more bombastic.
Same as my complaint about the first season, this episode would’ve benefited from a longer runtime. This show covers way too much to be squeezed into one hour.
Mrs. Tan, Russia Fox, Deja, are my early favorites. Marlyn (aka Heartburns), Feyvah, Elvira, and Margaux are great too. I have to say that the choices this first episode are a little confusing and questionable when taken in the context of the deliberations.
But I love it! This show is off to an exciting start.
