I was excited for this because it sounded like an interesting fantasy-horror piece, but it was a disappointment.
Started off promising, but gradually lost itself and became a poorly paced, muddled, confusing mess. The finale raised more questions than answered them, and ended on a wtf cliffhanger. LaKeith Stanfield does his best with the material and, as always, he’s impressive in every scene, as are the supporting actors, but the performances couldn’t save this adaptation.
