The White Lotus Season 1 was a pleasant surprise in the grand scheme of things. It’s nothing supreme or electric, but just the right blend of staged reality and comedic after-tones to keep the whole thing ticking. We meet the hotel guests on their excursion to Hawaii. We follow the entails of their holiday and the small piece of the world they bring to the Lotus. I think it does a great job introducing each guest without fully going in depth. It’s only a small part of their lives of course, but still it does enough to keep you intrigued. With little stories and details of their everyday life. I think a lot of the good parts of this season and this show have to go to Armond. The show rests firmly on Murray Bartlett’s shoulders. I haven’t researched it but the upright tall hotel manager with quick wit and clear disdain for his guests? It HAS to have taken homage from John Cleese’s iconic character, Basil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers. It simply has to, I won’t hear otherwise. Great cast, decent season! Hoping next season is even better with the GOAT Micheal Imperioli and the brilliant Aubrey Plaza. Best Episode: 🥇(1x5) The Lotus Eaters
