low-key amazed how much better this show is than the handful of episodes i saw on VHS as a kid suggested...was expecting this to kinda just be a fun nostalgia trip but stretches are genuinely peak of these characters in any medium...specifically the parts that take the most influence from Kirby and Morrison's JLA but the best episode is Wild Cards which is essentially just peak TV format so what do i know!
if i can point to a few issues that Unlimited will hopefully resolve: i found the need for every arc to be a two-parter fairly limiting...it certainly added scope and depth to many of the stories but about half of them felt needlessly extended, like they would benefit from being cut down to a dense 22 mins...the other issue being that character development is rather uneven, with the show kinda floundering about for the first season on who to focus on before settling on the John/Hawkgirl arc a little bit too far into the end of the run
obviously neither of these issues keep it from being great entertainment but i just feel there was potential missed...regardless my TV era is off to an amazing start!!
