Not a bad first episode, out of Serializd this seems to be getting a lot of love whereas on here it’s a mixed bag. Yes it’s a pretty slow start but this is normally how True Detective works, this show in all its seasons is always a slow burn and personally I don’t mind that. I don’t think this first episode was quite as captivating as S1 and S3s first episodes but it’s done enough to intrigue me. Thought Jodie Foster was great and I’m loving the dark atmosphere and the setting of where this season is set, a little supernatural which I don’t mind I just hope it doesn’t go overboard with it but I can’t wait to see how these 2 cases tie together, promising start in my opinion.
