BIG RANT TIME! i honestly hate how they are making brianna and roger out to be the next jamie and claire BAD. mind you this relationship started in 1970 with some long distance situationship then the first day brianna calls roger her boyfriend he decides to propose to her that night with the sole purpose of wanting to sleep with her. they stop talking for at least several months then when brianna decides to go through the stones roger gets mad at her for not telling him when she really had ZERO obligation to (considering they are exes who live in two different CONTINENTS in a time before cell phones). SO roger follows brianna through the stones even though she explicitly told him not to but it’s alright because the second they reunite in 1769 brianna acts like an entirely different character finding her long lost love and marrying him 5 minutes later COMPLETELY ignoring all her earlier beliefs she had voiced to him about not wanting to get married. the outlander writers when they find out they CAN write a female character who goes through the stones and doesn’t get married immediately for the sole purpose of women not being able to do anything without a man by their side: 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 the season finale continues to give roger and brianna these random unearned lines and scenes of love confessions and emotional reunions that they would usually give to jamieclaire. when an ugly stranger calls you twin…. also i love the concept of brianna’s character because her story is really interesting but i don’t like how this season started turning her into the main character, i’d rather her take on more of a role like fergus or young ian but now actually being the jamieclaire child 🙏 there being entire episodes this season that jamie and claire weren’t even in is CRAZY actually. did we forget our roots???? 🕯️🕯️ manifesting more jamieclaire screen time in s5 🕯️🕯️
