(fyi I had to scroll back to April 2020 in the groupchat to find this review because I just remembered I wrote it and wanted to post it on here lol) The first season is definitely the best one overall. It has the most iconic moments. I hated season 2 because the twins had ugly hair but mostly it was like 45 episodes which is way too many and there was no flow. The first half of season 3 was great because there were actual plots that spanned several episodes and made things more interesting rather than the "shenanigan of the day." but then eventually it just went back to that. Even though there's suite life on deck afterwards the finale was so boring and uneventful. Some problems I have with the series: They really played up the whole young boys fantasy thing by having Maddie and London be friends with Zack and Cody. I mean Maddie has a brother Zack's age but she still hangs out with him and lets him flirt with her? Disgusting. Also Maddie's supposed to be down to earth but she still acts mean and snobby to others. Your good deeds don't make up for your attitude Madeleine. Don't get me started on London. She has 0 character development the whole series. Well tbh no one does. Also Maddie started looking too much like Sharpay at one point which was annoying. Oh my god and Carey? She gets such ugly hair and outfits AND she's a transphobe (Zack dressed like a girl to try to win a pageant and she was like Zack... Why are you in a skirt... And he said in just trying to win money for bikes and she says thank god! as in thank god my son's not becoming a girl. same thing when they were on a tv show and cody was like mom don't touch my face I'm wearing makeup and she says that's not exactly what you want to hear from your teenage boy) Again with the young boys fantasy thing, all of their love interests are way taller and better looking than the twins which bothered me because they just cast older girls to pretend they were their age And god 90% of the show is Zack saying "Cody nerd!" and Cody saying "Zack stupid!" The reason I do enjoy it is the fantasy of living in a hotel like I would absolutely love to have this amazing place to hang out in. (The 3 stars is mainly for nostalgia reasons.)
