I'd been meaning to watch this for awhile, as a fan of Jeremy Allan White from Movie 43 and Shameless, and finally, while sitting in an airport lounge I was able to do so. The first episode jumps you straight into the lives of these characters with an intensity similar to Uncut Gems, but a bit funnier and light hearted at times. I binged the first season before making my way more slowly through the second season.
The Bear has a great cast, including cameos, that really showcase the characters and their progression well.
The tone of the show can jump around a bit, from intense to a touch whimsical, but I think this is where it excels, rather than its more traditional or by-the-numbers moments.
Felt unsatisfied by the end of season 2 but there's a lot of nice lead-ins for the next season and I await it eagerly.
