This documentary does the best job bringing about the suspense and tension especially for those that have never seen or heard about this story. The documentary does a great job diving into the culture of the time and the celebrity of certain figures which ended up being the classic story of hubris which led to downfall. This gets testimonials from the mob to create the entire culture throughout the inner workings and operations which was an amazing and personal look at the situation. This also gets the narrative from the other side of the story where we see the operation of the investigators and prosecutors which was gripping and fascinating throughout. So much of this series is delivered in such a cheesy fashion that it does take away from the gravity of the situation. Even though it can be a bit of a silly delivery the style occasionally comes off pretty cool, which is rare for a documentary series. This documentary did the work to create a full picture of the entire situation from start to finish and that deserves the solid commendations alone. This series is currently available to stream on Netflix.
