how do right-wingers watch this show and not get that they’re being made fun of 😭😭😭 edit (2024): been getting death threats and had a dude make an entirely new twitter account to call me a tr*nny (i’m not trans) and that i should kill myself. i know many of you reading this will probably agree with that sentiment but unfortunately, im not going to kill myself because some of you got mad i made a general observation about a show that i genuinely really enjoy—almost two years ago. i did not want to edit this post in the first place to show the sanctity of the actual post compared to how wild these comments are and to prove how unserious this is to anyone who stumbles upon my account. but i feel i just have to point out how crazy this is. we are on a worse letterboxd right now and many of you are calling me slurs (that don’t even apply to me) and telling me i should end my life…. over a 15 word observation i made while i was high af one morning in july of 2022. i know this will not stop comments- in fact! it will probably bring on more- but before you leave that comment telling me to kill myself and calling me the n word (despite me being whiter than a piece of printer paper), i just am inviting you to think about why exactly you’re so mad about a sentence you read to the point you’re telling me to kill myself over it. PS- i reached out to serializd on twitter because it was getting annoying checking this app semi regularly and getting tons of comments on this post from one account despite deleting them sometimes and blocking them, and asked how i can go about this since clearly blocking and deleting the more aggresive comments didn’t work. they made the decision to ban the accounts after seeing what exactly the comments were. i really did not mean to get anyone banned- i just wanted a way to curve getting notifs for these comments without deleting this post (because selfishly i think deleting it would make yall think you won) , and im sorry to them. but also maybe dont make comments telling someone to kill themselves on an app that clearly states in its rules you can’t tell people to kill themselves and maybe you won’t get your account banned 👍my final message… goodbye
