Hawkeye is a splendid tv show that focuses more on the grounded side of the MCU, as we get a perception of the crime on the streets of New York City, and a deep dive into Clint Barton's mind. 

Kate Bishop is a terrific addition to the MCU and one of the best characters post Endgame. She is a bright light for the future. If only we could keep exploring that a bit... Yelena comes in and has a journey of grief and discovery. Pugh's acting is sensational as she is coming to terms with the situation and feeling lost in a stage of denial. Pinning Clint, who has a more realistic approach of the fight, and is tired down immensely after events that have caused him to feel worn down, and Kate, who is shiny eyed and recognizes the inspiration a man like Clint can have on people, together was a genius idea and really helped us see a great dynamic between two fantastic characters.

The Kingpin reveal was awesome, even though the delivery of the idea felt off. His situation was a bit mishandled, as he felt cartoony and didn't need to step in the situation directly in episode 6. Furthermore, the fact his reveal was at the end of E5 and we only had one episode left might have contributed to things feeling a bit rushed in the end and weirdly put together. Finally, the fake kill was poorly done and unnecessary, leaving a sour taste in the mouth of the audience. At least, show him waking up or walking in a post credit scene or something. But hey, he isn't dead, and we know that in retrospect now. Looking forward to the show Echo.

Overall, when it focuses on the Kate and Clint dynamic or the Kate and Yelena dynamic, Hawkeye shines the brightest and offers us a fun, compelling and grounded adventure. It suffers a little bit in other places, but still puts a smile on your face at the end of the day.
