There was a big difference between part A and part B of the season. I guess the second half was like really iconic, but the first half did some stuff better for the characters. Anyway one thing what disappointed me; This season kinda lost its development for the characters, but chose to focus on enemies and most importantly the world of media. Which is also nice, but I hope next seasons will work more on the characters and their growth. Sam & Freddie are two characters I want to focus on. The development of Freddie started out really good. The scene he decides not to be desperate towards Carly is very powerful. But in the second half of the season he’s trying again and that’s not really explained. On the other side, I liked how his connection with Sam changed after iKiss. Either way Freddie is the best written character so far. For Carly & Spencer this season, they tried to do a brother-sister storyline for them. But every time they got to a point of development; It’s not really acknowledged. Besides the Christmas episode, nothing hit with them. For some reason Carly never comes to the point of reflection and change. For the lead who always wants to push Freddie, be the moral compass of Sam and take the lead over Spencer, she’s not good written. So a season with a weird direction, some pretty iconic episodes and multiple lost potential.
