Slightly better than s3. The plotlines flow much better and the characterwork has far improved. Frank's plotline after the season 4 finale is so great. Seeing him work through what he went through is so painful to watch but such great TV. I love learning more about Tim's past and seeing how he deals with it. He completely falls apart in the first half of this season until he tells Frank what happened. It's nice to see that even without Frank's comfort, simply telling him was enough to start accepting and working through it. Forgive my subtlety. I don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't seen it. Kellerman is easily the best character this season. His court plotline is the best in the show and it's conclusion is so fucking good. I didn't think he'd beat his scene with Drac from last season but damn was I wrong. I miss Megan but Julianna is a great replacement. I actually prefer her over Megan. I miss Stuart though 😔 The filler was also much more entertaining than seasons prior. I don't personally mind filler as long as I enjoy watching it and as long as there isn't too much of it. The consistency, score, performances, editing, and pacing is at its best. The dialogue isn't s3 level of perfection but there are some really great lines. - "The last place you'd look is in the mirror." - "Tell me something, George. Where do I put my hate?" - "I can't take anything away from him that's not already gone." Favorite character: Kellerman Favorite episode: 5x13 '9.8/10' Overall rating: 9.7/10
