The things I loved about the beginning of this show have been forgotten and replaced with a seemingly unlimited amount of time and money. The first volume sported some interesting storylines, mainly from its newer cast, and some truly doze-worthy storylines that made the show feel so much longer than it’s already pregnant runtime. The second volume continued into a somehow rushed finale that decided to cater to guaranteed fan reaction rather than an actual decent conclusion. Honestly, this show would be so much more charming if they continued operating on a smaller budget and had to make the story worth it, because right now… it isn’t living up to what it started. Before I forget, Sadie Sink carried this season and made 04.04 a contender for one of the best single episodes of the year.
