I thought this was certainly weaker than season 1, and I think mainly it felt a little rushed? But weirdly at the same time it was much slower. In season 1 every scene was relevant and interesting but I thought this time around scenes felt less important and a bit useless, for example, Dugdale being head of corvadt is forgot about by episode 4 and never impacted the story in any way outside of his own bubble. Felt like a lot of twists simply for the sake of it, whereas last season it all made sense and felt genuine. This sounds really negative but about 80% of everything that s1 does right is still going on here, and it’s still a great season.
