Having watched the first season around a year ago, and forgetting parts of the story of Cosimo - I have to say, this season is nearly perfect. The cast is great - the Pazzis even though it's only a series have a way of getting under your skin. The scenery, even though it would be really hard to have a bad display of Renaissance Italy, is perfect - from the art to the buildings, everything is shown in an exceptional way. The music is implemented in such a way that you do not even detect it's there at times, it becomes part of the story. Being a historical TV series, of course it's going to rely on historical characters, but the way they present them to you makes you actually interested to research them as you finish the series. My history knowledge is not exceptional so I have no idea about the accuracy of the events, but I binged the whole season in one day, and look further to watching the third season as well - recommend this series definitely.
