It's unfortunate that this last season was so short because I think having an extra 10 episodes would've really helped flesh out these beautiful character/relationship arcs and would've made for an even more impactful emotional roller coaster of a season. As it is, it's too condensed, each episode having such high stakes and such strong emotional impact, there's little room to breathe or adapt to the change in style and timeline (which in itself is such a brilliant move to reinvigorate a series—Fringe has always been great at reinventing itself and taking storytelling risks). But at the end of the day, it's all about love—the hope, the belief, the endurance—and how it is our biggest strength as humans, what propels us forward, what gives us meaning, the thing we should protect and nurture at all costs.
