A slam dunk of an episode, which is filled to the brim with powerful symbolism especially its allusions to greek mythology, Kevin as a man is fractured and his sense of identity is scattered and throughout this episode we see him on a pursuit to elimate patti from his subconsciousness I believe shes meant to represent Kevins internal fear of commitment to allow himself to love and let the people he loves in his life close to his heart hence why out of all the costumes he chooses the assassin even after moving to miracle his internal grief couldn't escape him, his internal fractured subconscious remained there deep down he understood Pattis beliefs that after something so unexplainable and shocking such as the Departure the fact you went through an event which proved you can lose anyone at any time is a precaution for forming real fulfilling connections which leads to Kevin pushing a young patti into the well, a well is a symbol of purity and community along with rebirth, kevin empathized with patti whilst in the well symbolizing him being a reborn person the understanding that to reconcile with your internal conflicts you need to confront them not escape them and thus reborn.
