Kinda like Dark and Predestination had a baby. Blazed offthe screen a heart pounding sci-fi thriller then it sputtered out towards the end. It did manage to maintain the emotional core all the way through which was "what would you do for love?"

What started out as a show that acted as a microscope on black college life. Somehow even with the changes in pace, tone and style I was still hooked. I think the final episode was such a beautiful way to close out a show that was packaged as a satire about racism and evolved into so much more. I lo
All I'm gonna say is that I'm glad this was not my high school experience and please for the love of god, I know it's on hbo but is the nudity necessary 99.99% of the time? Absolutely not. I would say do better but I know this dude isn't going to listen so go off I guess ...

A part of Frank and Siya both end up living on in Jeevan. She was a doctor and Frank had a limp. Don’t know if it was intentional but it’s a nice detail either way.

i read the books when i was a kid and from what i can remember i definitely enjoyed the show more. it was a fun binge and i hope it gets a second season, although the finale was quite underwhelming.
