The Mitch and Jay storyline was sweet. Cam helping out the Pritchett household made me laugh. The Dunphy kids losing it all at the same time was great too.

ICE infiltrating heaven was hysterical. I admit I had to look up Kristi Noem because I had no idea who she was. I get the dog-killing jokes now; it will probably be like Caitlyn Jenner running people over with her car every time she exits a scene. I thought the "nut" metaphor was a bit of a stretch.

The 20s-themed wedding was really fun, and Phil's family realizing that his lightheartedness and humor is why they love him after telling him off for being embarrassing was a good emotional moment. Cam and Mitchell's thing was kind of fun with Mitchell leaning into Cam's sister's bit.

This was a good episode because everyone's storylines were tied together with favors to pull the wool over a loved one's eyes in each situation. The Barnacle is a cool idea.

This was a good episode because it tied everybody's situations together in one long fetch-quest-type deal. Everyone doing favors for everyone else so that they can pull the wool over a loved one's eyes. The Barnacle is a pretty neat idea.

I liked how this one loosely tied all the episodes together and expanded on some of the lore with a clear reference to the first Black Panther film.

Claire and Mitchell finally getting an apology from Jay and Dede for how they were raised was really sweet. The heart-to-heart between Phil and Gloria was good too. Cam's thing was pretty great.

Spider-Man (1994)

S02 E05 · Neogenic Nightmare: Mutants' Revenge
Some mature themes from the X-Men series appear here with the curing of mutants angle again with a woman that hates that she's a mutant with telekinetic powers. Wolverine and Spider-Man make a great team. Landon changing into a monster was actually quite terrifying for a kids show, especially when t

This one was pretty good. Phil killing it at Jay's club, Gloria enlisting Claire for help to get rid of Manny and Joe, Mitchell and Cam's interactive theater thing...they all pulled it off really well, and it was funny.

Modern Family (2009)

S08 E04 · Weathering Heights
Nathan Fillion is great as the cheesy weatherman Rainer Shine. I was surprised to see Dwight still in Mitchell and Cam's house. Thought that would've been a single episode plot. Also, it seems like they don't really know what to do with Alex with her having mono and staying home from school.

Best episode so far becomes it shows some great conflict with Riri's closest relationships, and also gets into some magic lore. Xavier's the only one who has had an honest reaction to AI-Natalie which is abject horror.

Phil and Gloria shaking down Auntie Anne was pretty good. Cam's extravagant ideas are always welcome. Claire sussing out the mole was funny.

The Christian rock band parts gave me bad memories of my youth growing up in a church youth group. They nailed it though. I felt bad for Phil not understanding that he's not the reason Claire is acting strangely.

Phil and Mitchell high on pot was easily the best part of the episode, although Manny and Luke trying to cover up the party was great too.

That yoga instructor was 100% sexually assaulting Claire. I identify a lot with Mitchell and his overprotectiveness of Lily being cautious. The "Jay Talking" show was so stupid, it wrapped around to being funny.

Modern Family (2009)

S07 E15 · I Don't Know How She Does It
Manny/Luke, Gloria, and Jay ending in a Mexican standoff was great. In the end, none of them knew what the others had done. Claire's assistant was fun too.

This one started out a little rocky, but tied itself together pretty well by the end. There are tender moments between several characters that make the outlandish situations not bad in retrospect. It was great to see the storm affect all the different plots.

Lot of little throwaway lines that made me laugh. Phil and Luke always being idiots are great to watch. Cam has the best lines in almost every episode.

X-Men (1992)

S03 E14 · The Dark Phoenix: The Fate of the Phoenix (4)
The sacrifice of Jean Grey and later, parts of the other X-Men, should have had bigger repercussions. If they did, the ending to the saga would have been better. And the Phoenix deciding suddenly that she's done with Jean's body after being shot by a giant laser cannon doesn't really make much sense

X-Men (1992)

S03 E13 · The Dark Phoenix: The Dark Phoenix (3)
Finally, we ditch the 18th century cosplayers, and the real Dark Phoenix comes out. The true power and destruction of the character reveals itself and poses a real threat to the X-Men for once.

X-Men (1992)

S03 E15 · Cold Comfort
Seeing Iceman was good, but seeing the X-Men battle X-Factor was great. It really focused on the new mutants abilities and strategy in the fight. The plot about Lorna leaving Iceman because of his complacency about fighting for mutant rights was a refreshing point to make.

Good heartfelt moments with Phil and Alex. The pepper heist was funny to watch it play out in the "wrong" way. The Vietnamese sleepover was humorous too.

Keegan-Michael Key and Phil's reveal of the bet was great. Ray Liotta showing up and Barbra Streisand doing a voice cameo was also pleasantly surprising.

Pretty well thought-out episode; probably one of the better ones of the season. Didn't expect references to GTA, Toy Story 2's "When She Loved Me," New Girl, and Smiling Friends, for Pete's sake.
