bridgerton is at its best when it’s focused on the main romance and that was no less the case for queen charlotte. india amarteifio and corey mylchreest were so captivating as charlotte and george and had great chemistry. arsema thomas was also great as lady danbury and it was nice to learn about her origin story. reynolds and brimsley’s little subplot romance was cute too, glad to know the bridgerton universe acknowledges gay people! i wasn’t as invested in the present timeline but i understand why they had it. overall, i had fun! this series is always such wonderful escapism for a lover of the romance genre, i could never hate it and i would watch a million more spin-offs.
