Very messy, and Freddie cannot act for shit. When this show is doing knockoff Twin Peaks its pretty dumb, but at least campy schlock. But when it's just about a toxic cycle of abuse it's very compelling and creepy.

Almost really great, definitely has its moments and some terrific reveals, as it is it’s merely okay to very good. Loved Steven, and Layla. Needed more than eight episodes.

Sadly this is like 70% of a great show thanks to Disney's obnoxious need to force in intertextual references instead of letting a good story breath. The show takes a jarring hard turn in the later half and can't quite right the ship in the finale. I really hope future seasons fix this. My boy deserv
