As a tv show it really does feel like a speed run of the emotional beats of the first game minus any weight or real tension. Along with some questionable choices / deviations and weird pacing. Hopefully they fix that for season 2.

Was always going to be a hard act to follow the last episode. I do like the psychedelic take though. Just wish there was more of it.

He’s back, shirtless still and with his long extendable stick. This time Goku levels up his ride with inter- dimensional missiles!! The sexism is high and the script is low. But the action and design is still super cool. Just what you expect from Yoshiaki Kawajiri.

Tie with open vest, definitely a statement. Even after 30 or so years when this was released.

Is Kingdom part 2 a sinker or a floater? It’s a bit of both. Having said that ep2 is probably the funniest of the show so far. And of course it involves Stig.
Watched the original 4:3 version.
