While it is a bit slow paced from time to time and some aspects of the plot could have been altered, Mad Men continues to be an immersive and layered show thanks to the masterful dialogue, delightful retro style and tip-top cast of fascinating characters.

By offering further and emotionally deeper development of the show's fascinating characters, Mad Men's sophomore season could have executed certain parts of its story better and more clearly, but it broadens its own horizons and remains highly compelling due to the stellar writing, superb performanc

Although Squid Game's second season starts off a bit uneven and a few parts can drag, this Netflix sensation still remains an electrifying, well-crafted and richly detailed show that captivates with its great cast of characters (actors too) and an impressive amount of social commentary that is prese

Well written, solidly acted and featuring a colorful cast of characters, Mad Men's opening season isn't fluently paced at all times, but it is a concise and engrossing dramedy that effectively captures its period while also being filled with undertones and sharp wit.

Just as tight, enjoyable and charming as season 1 while further developing its rich cast of characters, Tulsa King's sophomore season has a few issues in the way it handles some of its plotting, but as a whole this is yet another nifty and nicely balanced season of television fueled by the charisma

Sylvester Stallone kills it in the role as Dwight Manfredi and provides a lot in an otherwise gripping, consistent and well-rounded season of television that builds tension and its characters in a graceful way with a lot of great comedic value. There are a few segments in its story that could have b

Even though there were some sequences that could have been handled a bit better and the overall flow isn't tight all the way through, Watchmen is a mature, richly detailed and thematically rich miniseries that is both intelligent and observant, while also providing an intriguing cast of characters a

Rust and Marty's dynamic is truly peak. It is such a haunting and impactful watch that flows effortlessly from scene to scene with a perfect athmosphere and masterful dialogue.

It may just build things forward, but it is so incredibly focused, genuine and structured that every scene feels meaningful and worthwile. The talent on display, both in front of and behind the camera is always ever present throughout, as well as the perfect emotional tone. Damn, i have missed this

In spite of being a bit predictable from time to time and occasionally lacking some depth, Poker Face is a captivating, sturdy and expertly paced season of television that blends several genres to great effect with an elegant script and a stellar lead performance by Natasha Lyonne.

Managing to both be exciting and vulnerable, Mr. Inbetween's sophomore season is marginally better than season 1 due to its more dimensional storytelling and some better characterization while further proving Scott Ryan's talents as a writer and actor. It can be a bit stuffed and some scenes could h

Stylish and tonally on point, Mr. Inbetween season 1 has some structural issues and some of its characters are a bit uninteresting, but it had my attention due to its solid writing, great genre blending and a superb lead performance by Scott Ryan.

The Leftovers (2014)

S03 E05 · It's a Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt World
While i do think this is the weakest of the "Matt trilogy", mostly due to some of the plotting within, this is still a fascinating, thematically rich and richly detailed episode that features yet another knock out performance by Christopher Eccleston. The well-written and cryptic conversation betwee

On a pure story level, this may not offer too much, but this is still engrossing and poignant television that is further enhanced by Carrie Coon's wonderful performance.

Everything that happens with the Murphys and Kevin is just truly captivating. I really felt that our central story got even more juice this episode and it was handled with a great mix of mystery and drama. Superb performances and character development as well.

Huell lying on the money is just incredible. I love the character work and drama that is depicted in this episode and there are lot of great depth and symbolic value that i thought was wonderfully conveyed through the writing. Not as "crazy" as the last two episodes or the episodes to follow, but st

I really liked this episode's focus on the Garveys after the insane conclusion to season 1. The character development and acting are all superb, alongside being a very well rounded and solidly paced episode overall. They even manage to make Jill likable.

That dinner sequence was some of the most beautifully awkward scenes i have seen in quite a while. Seeing Jesse and Skyler in a scene together was actually quite cool. Yeah to that. Otherwise, this is an episode that operates like a bridge between Dead Freight and Say My Name, but it is still blesse

Despite some pacing and structural issues (especially in portions of the first half), The Leftovers season 1 is riddled with symbolism and a consistent emotional nature, which definitely is well defined by its thematically rich and often deeply moving storytelling that does a good job at creating a

I love seeing Jesse and Walt having a beer together and conversing in a relatively chill way, even though Walt is an exploitative mofo. The brief eye contact between him and Brock speak volumes. A slower episode, but one that sets up what's to come in a really calculated way.
