This is a really absurd tv show. The editing is super strange, and so is the the soundtrack. There is so much dialogue that is completely unnecessary, and too much exposition. A lot of repeating shots with nothing happening. Some really weird choices were made here. And there are about 18 episodes

Finally, I ended this series. It was amazing until the last episode in particular the last five episodes of the series. I think I may find a novel version to read. I really enjoyed this show.

I couldn't wait for the Netflix adaptation, which I hope D&D will do well. I suggest others wait. (Or, if you have not read the book, do that!) Tedious at times but I had to watch with subtitles as I can't stand dubbed media

I'm not a hard sci-fi kid, so this was in some ways a very slow burn for me, & you do feel the hand of the State (that the Cultural Revolution episode is only 33 minutes says a lot right there) but they had me by the end, gotta dehydrate myself so I'll still be around when they finally give us s2.
