this is the first time i’ve ever watched this episode in all my rewatches due to no scully and i was soooo scared because duchovny is making out with his irl girlfriend in front of god and everyone with tongue but like kinda loved the slutty vibes of it all

i like vampires and mulder was looking fine ASH........ but i miss scully!!!!!!! bring the love of my life home!!!!! also mulder wearing scullys cross making me emotionally feral, BUT SHIRTLESS MULDER WEARING SCULLYS CROSS IS MAKING ME FERAL IN SO MANY OTHER WAYS OML.........

imo vastly underrated episode! it’s horny for absolutely no reason, has vampires, and most importantly showcases mulder’s absolute misery while scully is missing. I mean fr every other line is about how he’s barely surviving plus the necklace?? 😭🤚 also can we discuss the way that detective said “

“i don’t sleep anymore” mulder is so cool very very weird, but idk i think it kinda succeeds at what it’s trying to do. it just sucks to see mulder flirting with someone else as the audience knowing that scully is still alive.

what a bizarre episode to position after the events of the last, and what a way to break a streak of truly excellent episodes. i still haven’t found a single episode of this show not to be enjoyable to some degree, but this being where it is in the season really does it no favors.

I'm 50/50 on how much I liked this story, but boy was it shot well. Really dug the lighting choices throughout.
