Reviews for The Jetty

UK crime dramas are food for my soul Loved Jenna Coleman as Detective Hot Mum 4 episodes was the perfect amount and perfectly paced. I'd actually like more shows at this length The way this was wrapped up had me wtf-ing. Definitely didn't see it coming

did i watch it for the cast? yes. did i enjoy it? also yes! the topic of morals in regard of consent and the thin line between legal and illegal is interesting - not nearly talked about as often as needed.

A pretty decent BBC crime drama that deals with themes of sexual morality and the overarching theme of female exploitation, a topic that is so prevalent in today’s society, and the failings of the police force to take the struggle of women seriously. Almost every female character in this show is e

this was so brilliant… ember manning you have been promoted you are now one of my elite employees (top three jenna characters)

Outstanding mystery! And there's an important focus on sexual predators and the abuse of under-age women. I like the character of Ember, and I like her family and the other characters. Very much worth watching! (9.2) 👍

all in all very interesting but the ending let this rating down a bit

I’m normally not into these kinds of shows, but THIS?! This lady my jaw on the floor. Truly just amazing! And the acting… Jenny deserves an oscar for that performance!!!!

“Fuck you very much” Jenna Coleman as DC Ember Manning gives a powerhouse of a performance in the latest BBC detective drama. She’s my new favourite detective on TV and for me that’s high praise. It is hard for me to not see Clara Oswald from Doctor Who tho. I thought the crime drama had a really

jenna coleman and tom glynn-carney i love YOU

This show was absolutely perfect with showing the mysteries of the past and piecing it all together, leaving you on the edge of your seat with every scene that was playing Jenna Coleman my queen forever

LOVED this series. jenna coleman is such an incredible actress, i felt all of her guilt, sadness and frustration as if it were my own. the mystery was developed so well and the reveal had my jaw on the floor. it truly ripped the rug from under me so many times. i’m going to be thinking about this fo

I forgot to log this yesterday but I’m glad, after thinking about this more there’s a lot of flaws. I love the message and it is necessary for the time we are in but the execution of the plot needs more time. Jenna Coleman is absolutely incredible though.

When I say 'The Jetty' blew me away, I mean it. Wow. This has such a gripping mystery right from the start, and the resolution genuinely fucking FLOORED me. I'm not exaggerating in saying that it has one of the greatest endings I've ever seen, the narrative resolution shocked me like nothing else, a

hope this show gets another season as i really enjoyed the characters and show overall

Really loved the first three episodes. Not super obsessed with how it ended however I’m glad I watched. Wish every bad man would be burned to death tbh.

a british crime drama has never failed me. the murder mystery of this story was interesting despite the ending. however, i thought theme of abuse of under age girls, predators and parental responsibility throughout was the most compelling.

Couple of threads that weren't cleared up, or not as cleanly as you'd think they would be but overall this is a great little mini-series to get sunk into for four hours. It gets you invested and surprised and rooting for the main character, played fantastically by Jenna Coleman. Another for the list

2.75 - Decent crime drama!

I love Jenna but this was very fitting for my Mediocre British Thrillers list lmao The writing and plots were almost a parody. I loved when she, the police officer, has a go at the guy reporting arson for being a gentrifier and is basically like I’m glad it burnt down, get out of here 😭 The end

interesting story, good cast (Jenna Coleman is annoying just a bit :D), nice twist and perfect length of the series - an extra episode would already kill the vibe IMO

really great crime story but who else turned in specifically for tom glynn-carney?

didnt see that coming omg😭

This was just WOW, the twist in the story was genuinely something I didn’t see coming, amazing cast and story.
