Let's fuuuck! #ReleaseTheBouchardCut

The Franchise is unfortunately a mixed bag. A comedy set on the chaotic set of a C-list superhero movie subject to ever-shifting studio politics could obviously be really funny in our current climate if done right. Now that I've seen it all? At the moment I'm inclined to say it works more often than

I was pretty excited for this show, a satire of the superhero movie industry, produced by Armando Iannucci, sounded right up my alley, but it fell really flat imo. While is did deliver satire of superhero hero movies and the culture surrounding that it always felt so over the top and unrealistic t

This show has a solid concept at its core, but it often tries too hard to be funny, with many of its jokes falling flat. But at least it has a really good cast and they bring a lot of charm to the show. If there’s a second season, I hope they refine the humor and make better use of the strong founda

this was alright, but feels already dated due to the superhero genre dwindling overall. i feel like if this had a sitcom approach of a movie/tv crew and with less focus on what they were shooting, it might work better.

As a superhero media fan who loves satirical comedy, The Franchise felt like it could have been made for fans like me who can take a joke and constructive criticism on what they love. However this show just wasn’t that funny… It presented issues that many people would know about with these movies

Is the satire not as biting as it could/should be? Yup. Does the show work for folks who don’t know the inside baseball it’s portraying? Nope. But it is funny at times and I think Himesh, Bruhl, Grant, Magnussen, and Goldstein were really good. Also I’ve seen nerds get upset by the show so there’s a

Nothing too special, but I really enjoyed it. The Himesh Patel and Richard E. Grant performances were dynamite. I read a book earlier this year about the production of the MCU movies, and this was a spot-on, if not particularly deep, send-up of the real behind-the-scenes antics.

adam is so babygirl

this is whats been happening to blade; probably

Liked this show decently but it never hit that next level for me. It’s got a lot of meta humor that is funny at first but pretty surface level the more it continues. Didn’t mind any of the characters really but also didn’t connect with them. Grant is the best part of this whole thing. By the end it

it was funny but nothing amazing

I appreciated the Marvel satire but I would’ve liked this better if they spent any time making me like the characters

It’s funny, but it’s not.

Had some laughs and was alright watch. Some good cast. Definitely one to add to the list.

fun time!!

Kind of a mixed bag but to see Daniel Brühl play an idiot mediocre director was quite something. Himesh Patel was the best of the show btw he was so good too.

The concept was kinda interesting and the cast was alright. Unfortunately, this was just so underwhelming and I couldn’t help being bored almost the entire time.

well, it wasn't really great but i lowkey grew attached to it, to Dan and Anita in particular, so idk i hope they get a shot at a new season. fine-tune the humor and give us some more action like the great oner early in the season and we'll be there

Very inconsistent and meandering even though some of the highs were very very funny.

vfx guy snapping in the last episode made me scream ngl. we need this to start happening fr on those marvel sets! fun season but it needed a lot more bite. loved daniel and dag's friendship a lot tho
